Enkrott concluded a new project in Argentina, with the installation of an integrated solution in a biomass plant owned by the one of the largest Spanish companies in the field of Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), which operates in that South American country. The company thus increases its presence in a growing segment, for which it has been developing several national and international projects.

Custom designed, the project includes three water treatment units – boiler, waste and cooling tower - with the highest technical specifications and in accordance with the most demanding requirements in terms of safety and automation.

The water treatment system for feeding the steam turbine boiler includes a pre-treatment stage through multimedia filtration and application of oxidizing biocide and alkaline agents for microbiological control and high levels of iron, with a production capacity of 90 mᶟ/h. To obtain “ultrapure” water, with a quality of <0.2 μS/cm, there is a next stage with two lines that allow a total production of 10 mᶟ/h, using reverse osmosis and electrodeionization technologies.

With regard to wastewater treatment, Enkrott's solution integrates homogenization, control and monitoring systems for chemical neutralization and dosing.

The treatment for the cooling tower was built on skids (metallic structures), incorporating chemical dosing, filtration and conductivity and pH control and monitoring.
